Scholarships and Awards
Each year, The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame honors and pays tribute to a select few with awards of excellence for exhibiting superior qualities of scholarship, citizenship and leadership as well as to individuals who demonstrate outstanding support for the Foundation and its mission of advancing the game of amateur football.
Seven Presidents, countless military, business and community leaders as well as football officials and scholar-athletes from all levels of football are among those who have been received these much acclaimed awards. Annually at the local level, 118 chapters of The National Football Foundation award scholarships and awards to over 3,000 high school scholar-athletes and community leaders.
The entire football community gathers each December at the Foundation's Awards Luncheon and black-tie Awards Dinner to celebrate these accomplishments, and The College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Indiana, provides permanence by displaying the awards year round.
Here in Utah, the local Board of Directors selects the top twelve scholar athletes who are graded by their performance on the football field, in the classroom and in the community. The scholarship winners are generally selected as 1st Team All-State Football, grade point averages consistently 3.5 or higher and dedicated to supporting their local communities through service and charitable contributions.
